ZooRun

ZooRun is Tulsa’s family-friendly race that helps us raise funds to build a bigger, better zoo! This annual event features a 5k and 10k race, plus the 1-mile Fun Run.

Share the love with the Tulsa Zoo this season by ordering a limited-edition special Chimpanzee Valentine's Day EDOPT. Order includes a Chimpanzee Activity Card, certificate, and special Valentine's Day chimpanzee video. Emails will be sent starting Feburary 7th.

Tulsa Zoo Encourages Action To Prevent African Penguin Extinction

Tulsa Zoo is encouraging action after the International Union for Conservation of Nature moved African penguins from endangered to critically endangered, meaning they are nearing extinction. African penguins have lost 97 percent of their population and, at the current rate of decline, will be extinct in the wild by 2035.

Tulsa Zoo Home to Historic Litter of Malayan Tiger Cubs

The birth of five Malayan tiger cubs at Tulsa Zoo increased the North American population by 10 percent. All five cubs are thriving, a rarity for this critically endangered species and believed to be a first for a litter this size among accredited zoos.

Tulsa Zoo Mourns Lioness Shatari

Tulsa Zoo is mourning the loss of Shatari, its female African lioness. Shatari began end-of-life care monitoring in June 2022 based on signs of age-related health decline. She was humanely euthanized late last week.
